Job description

A primary school in Mossley (OL5) is looking for a HLTA to work across Key Stage 2 for the rest of the academic year.

    • Full time HLTA post, starting ASAP

  • Competitive pay rates starting between £60-£70 a day dependant on experience.
  • Commit to a long term role up the end of the of Summer 19'

The school is a small one form entry 'GOOD' primary school situated in the heart of Mossley (OL5) Most pupils are of White British heritage and the proportion of pupils with a disability or with special education needs is below average. The school prides it's self on it's improving & growing size, as well as being a forest school.

The school is looking for somebody who is passionate about raising pupil's attainment and works well in their friendly, sociable team. The school is looking to become outstanding after the school has continued to increase in size over the last year. This small forest school is a incredibly friendly and is an enjoyable place to work with well thought out plans and decision making by a strong, organised senior leadership team and head teacher. This role will be a great opportunity to work with a supportive, efficient, welcoming staff team while developing excellent practice from outstanding teaching.

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant you will:

  • Lead full class teaching using the teachers planning.
  • Be preparing and delivering learning activities for the pupil.
  • Monitoring across attendance, behaviour and achievement.
  • Responsible for providing support for students, teacher and the school in order to raise standards of achievement for all pupils with behavioural needs. .
