Teaching Personnel are currently working alongside a Church of England primary school in the Oldham area (OL2). The school is looking to appoint a full time, enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their staffing team. This role is to start ASAP and will be a long term, on-going supply contract. The successful Teaching Assistant will be supporting children in Key Stage 1 so must be comfortable in both year groups.

The right applicant must have recent experience, be dedicated and will want to develop their career in education. The role is to start immediately and you are encouraged to apply if:

This average sized primary school has been rated 'good' and promotes enthusiasm in all children. It has a Christian ethos and all children are provided with a good quality of education in a welcoming and stimulating environment. The curriculum is very well developed and allows children to flourish. Teachers provide their students with engaging activities during the lessons, as well as creating inventive ways to encourage children to talk. The children at the school are friendly, enthusiastic and eager to learn. The attendance is above the national average, which is a major strength of the school.

The children are very well behaved and respectful to all members of staff, as well as their peers, making this a lovely school to work in. Teachers throughout the school create engaging and motivating lessons, which help to allow their students to make great progress throughout both Key Stages. The relationships between staff and their pupils are outstanding and are why children love coming to school.

The school is looking for a teaching assistant who will bring optimism and a positive working attitude. The successful applicant will work alongside the teacher and will encourage all students. They will deliver small intervention groups and support students on a 1:1 and small group basis, if needed.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
