A Primary school in North Leeds (LS17) have contacted Teaching Personnel in search of a Year 1/2 mixed class teacher to work at the school until at least the end of the academic year in July 2021.

The Leeds Primary school are in need of a Key Stage 1 Teacher for a mixed Year 1/2 class as their current teacher is due to take maternity leave early due and will not return to work until July 2021. The school is a 2 form entry primary school who are an improving school. They are working towards receiving a GOOD / OUTSTANDING Ofsted in the next 24 months. The Head Teacher is looking for a Teacher with good knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and is also open to a Newly Qualified Teacher.

This role would involve settling in and immediately beginning preparation ahead of the Phonics screening and KS1 SATs which are expected to run as normal next year. Ideally the candidate would be a teacher with experience in preparing for and administering Phonics sessions and KS1 SATs, with in-depth knowledge of the curriculum and a track record of raising attainment. The school also have aspirations of one day being graded as OUTSTANDING by Ofsted and to do this must improve on pushing the higher attaining students further. 

Interviews for this role will be taking place over the next 3 weeks during the summer holidays and will be conducted via ZOOM with the Head Teacher and Deputy Head Teacher.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
