Key Stage 1 Teacher - Bury

Year 2 Teacher required for "Good" Primary School in Bury (M45)

Due to an extended leave of absence, a Primary School in Whitefield, Bury are looking for a Year 2 teacher to join their Key Stage 2 department, starting in the first week of March and carrying on until the end of the academic year.

The Head Teacher is looking for a FQT with experience working in Year 2 previously as they will need to hit the ground running. The ideal candidate will immerse themselves in the whole school and will be expected to prepare all lessons, mark and evaluate all progress and prepare the Year 2 class for their SATS exams. In return, the school can offer you continued support from a strong leadership team, a teaching assistant in the class room to support SATS interventions and PPA time so you are able to plan and prepare lessons.

This flagship school in Bury offers great facilities and a support network within their Key Stage 1 department. With a focus on phonics, speaking and listening, the school's facilities are second to none to allow for a high standard of teaching and learning.

As the Year 2 teacher, experience of working with various phonics schemes, leading small groups and planning full class lessons differentiating for children with Special Educational Needs is vital. In addition, a passion for working with mixed ability, high levels of SEN and EAL children would serve you well.
