SEN Teaching Assistant (Part-time/Full-time) - Camberely

Salary: £77 - £90 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)

We are currently seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as SEN (Special Educational Needs) Teaching Assistants in Bracknell. If you have a genuine interest in supporting students with special educational needs and want to make a positive impact on their educational journey, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one or group support to students with special educational needs, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development.
  • Assist the class teacher in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and adapting curriculum materials to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Support students with daily activities, including personal care and promoting independence.
  • Create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that fosters the social, emotional, and academic growth of students.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, parents, and external agencies to ensure effective communication and provision of support.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to progress reports for students.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or individuals with special educational needs is highly desirable.
  • Possess a patient, compassionate, and empathetic approach towards students with diverse needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to adapt and be flexible in a dynamic educational setting.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in special educational needs (such as a Teaching Assistant qualification, CACHE Level 2/3, or equivalent) would be advantageous.

Working hours:

  • We offer both part-time and full-time options for this role, providing flexibility to suit your availability and preferences.
  • Part-time positions: 2-4 days a week, 8:30-3:30
  • Full-time positions: 5 days a week, 8:30-3:30 (as well as extra training)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
