IT Teacher Position Available in Newport

Job description

Teaching Personnel have an Information Technology teaching position available at a client school based in Newport. The role requires you to plan and deliver IT lessons within a client Pupil Referral Unit that caters for pupils of all ages that struggle with challenging behaviour. The school is surrounded by excellent experienced and supporting staff along with specialist teaching assistants that can help when needed. The successful candidate will be teaching a class of secondary aged pupils, keeping them on task to meet their learning aims and objectives. To be successful at this role you will need to have a good knowledge of the subject and have strong behaviour management skills. Being team Teach trained is advantageous for the role however training can be provided. The role requires you to work within regular school hours of 8:30-3:30, we offer a competitive rate of pay ranging from £85.00-£100.00 a day based on experience.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have gained qualified teaching status
  • Experience or knowledge on IT
  • Have strong behaviour management skills
  • Team Teach Trained (desired)
  • Are registered with the education workforce council
  • Can confidently plan a daily routine for support staff within the classroom
  • Are either Newly Qualified Teachers (NQT's) or experienced classroom practitioners
  • Team teach trained (desirable)

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
