Job description

Teaching Personnel, working on behalf of our client school are currently recruiting for a part time Computer Science teacher to take on the full responsibilities of a classroom teacher.

The school is a large secondary school in Fleet with around 1000 students on roll, a large team SLT who are supportive and encouraging. The school offer an extensive CPD programme and are happy to engage with you regarding this once the probation period has been completed.

In this role you will cover Computer Science in both KS3 and KS4 as well as having a tutor group you will be responsible for the pastoral care of engaging with them and covering PSHE issues using topical events to discuss these in a mature and conversational environment.

The school would prefer a fully qualified teacher for this role however will consider an NQT for the role, or an experienced unqualified teacher, who has recent and relevant experience in a secondary school environment teaching IT and Computer Science.

The school is highly academic with some of the highest grades in the county with the majority of GSCEs averaging an A across the board IT based examinations averaged a B across the school for 2017, English and Maths have a 84% pass rate significantly higher than the UK average.
