Interventions Teaching Assistant

Job description

A client school in Central Manchester, M14 are seeking a dedicated teaching assistant to join their KS1 team. The school are looking to appoint an interventions TA to deliver reading, English and maths interventions to their KS1 children. The successful candidate may also be required to deliver interventions to lower ability KS2 children who need a push in raising attainment in core subject areas.

This three form entry primary school was rated 'GOOD' at its last OFSTED inspection with aspects of 'OUTSTANDING' teaching. The school are seeking a dedicated practitioner to help raise attainment across the school by working with children 1:1 and in small groups. This primary school has high levels of EAL so the selected candidate will be required to work closely with selected children to aid their speech and language.

The ideal candidate will,

  • Have experience working with children in a primary school setting
  • Be comfortable supporting children's learning 1:1 and in small groups
  • Be able to plan intervention sessions in English and Maths
