Tutor

Tutors required in Derby City for  1:1 pupils

The Role:

• Working 1:1 with Looked After Children who reside in children's homes or foster placements
• Flexible hours during school day F2F (at home, schools or local venues)
• Produce and delivering tailored sessions for Maths, English and Functional Skills and any other subjects required
• Working across the school curriculum (KS1-KS4)

The Ideal Candidate

• Passionate, enthusiastic and resilient tutors with a goal to support students of all abilities
• Previous experience tutoring 1:1 or in small groups
• QTS (desirable but not essential)
• Confident to deal with disengaged and sometimes challenging studnents
• Experienced working with pupils who present with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties, including anxiety, self-harming behaviours and physical aggression

Requirements

• Child workforce DBS on the update service (or willing to apply for one through Teaching Personnel)
• Safeguarding training within the past 12 months (we can offer this for free if you need to update your training!)
• Must be able to plan and deliver own work as students do not usually have a school roll
