Small group Intervention Support Assistant - Cardiff
An "Green A" primary school in Cardiff are currently looking for an enthusiastic Intervention Support assistant, preferably someone who has a medical background to work with either on a 1-1 basis with a Foundation phase classes who can provide group literacy interventions. Overall the school has moderate behavioural needs and a nurture programme has been put in place to encourage pupils to have a variety of outlets to enable them to achieve their full potential. The role will include building the pupils' confidence, character and overall well-being: providing a safe environment where the pupils will look forward to coming to school. You will also work alongside classroom teachers and assistants to help encourage participation and encouragement.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
