Pay rate: £12.50 - £15 per hour (before AwR)
Are you a Leve 3 or 4 qualified teaching assistant? Or maybe a qualified teacher who isn’t seeking the full responsibility of teaching a full class? Then this may be the role for you. A mainstream primary school located in Nelson (BB9) have approached Teaching Personnel in order to source and shortlist a number of candidates to take up a part intervention, part teaching role in a Year 6 class. The role will be split 80% working with small groups and reading and writing interventions and 20% delivering to the whole class in order to release the class teacher. This is an excellent opportunity to secure yourself a long-term, full-time role within a local school. The Head teacher has specified that he will be looking for someone with a secure knowledge of the KS2 Curriculum and also someone who can confidently step up at any point to deliver in the Year 6. The role will begin on the 5th of September 2022 and continue until at least May 2023 when the Year 6 SATs begin, with a view of continuing until the end of the academic year and possibly be taken onto a permanent contract through the school. The role is part-time hours Monday – Wednesday (3 days per week), the school have said that they are flexible for the correct candidate. The Head Teacher is keen to meet with potential candidate as early as next week and would like CVs sending across to short list as soon as possible.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
