              Primary Teacher

  • KS1 Teaching Role
  • Knowledge of KS1/2 curriculum
  • Provision Burnley (BB12)
  • £90 - £130 p/day (dependent on experience)
  • Working hours: Full-time, Monday-Friday

I am working closely with the headteacher of a specialist provision to recruit a dynamic, motivated Key Stage 1/2 Teacher. They are looking to welcome an educator who will fully engage in all aspects of their school life and provide a positive learning atmosphere for all children. As the children display signs of high challenging behaviour, the successful educator will desirably have previous experience with managing challenging behaviour. To be successful you will need knowledge of the KS1 curriculum.

This provision offers an alternative way for children to access the curriculum; with the belief all children achieve more effectively when learning is play based. The provision is a setting that puts children at the centre of their nurture allowing children to revisit their early years of life to develop self-confidence and esteem to flourish in the school environment and wider life.

Job purpose

  • Assess the needs of all children and plan the curriculum around their needs
  • Understand children’s backgrounds and triggers
  • Provide interactive/fun learning experiences for the children
  • Create and maintain positive relationships to build a trusting environment
  • Set clear, firm, and fair boundaries
  • Liaise with SENCo and other staff members
  • Promote independence and encourage children to reach their full potential
