This position is ideally for a biology specialist, but any aspect of science is appreciated. This role is to start in September and has strong potential for extension of even a permanent opportunity

Our school has been previously rated by Ofsted as 'outstanding' with encouraging results across core subjects form summer 2017. Attainment levels for Science taken from summer 2017 indicate that a significant amount of young adults are achieving A-C grades at GCSE.

Our school seeks a biology science teacher who can genuinely enthuse and inspire young people and most importantly promote a positive environment and relationship with students.

As a Science Teacher you are expected to:

  • Deliver engaging and interactive Science lessons to KS3 & KS4
  • Full teaching responsibilities with regards to planning and preparing lessons
  • have an expertise in science (could be biology, chemistry or physics)
  • act as a tutor- provide a safe, supportive and motivating environment
  • provide effective feedback to students that will enable them to set clear individual targets

In return as a Biology Teachers will receive:

  • Access to longer term or even permanent opportunities within the school or within other schools with Teaching Personnel
  • Pay reflective of experience and expectations of the role - up to £140 p/d considered
