Inclusion Assistant

Join a popular secondary school in Manchester seeking to appoint an Inclusion Assistant on a full-time basis from October. The successful applicant will have experience in a similar role or have significant experience working with children with challenging behaviour.

Duties of this role will be to provide support the needs of pupils who need particular help to overcome barriers to learning. The successful applicant will work in the schools internal inclusion unit. We are looking for a confident and assertive individual with excellent behaviour management skills.

The successful applicant will lead small group or individual educational sessions, ensuring that individuals receive the required provision and required support.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be passionate about inclusion
  • Have significant and successful experience of working with children with challenging behaviour in an education and/or social care setting
  • Be able to establish excellent relationships with pupils
  • Possess excellent classroom management skills

This popular secondary school has been recognised as an innovative and ambitious Academy at a national level. The school recently invested in a brand new building and has excellent facilities throughout. The school is located in South Manchester, easily accessible via Metro links from the city centre and public bus routes. The school also has a large free car park for all staff members.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
