ICT & Computing Teacher in Tameside January to April

Secondary school situated in Tameside is looking to appoint a Full Time ICT & Computing teacher from January to April initially for one full term with opportunity to extend until the end of the year. The school is willing to take on an experienced IT or Computer Science teacher or those that are Newly Qualified in a Computing based subject.

This is a full time teaching post where you will be expected to plan and organise your own work but would be provided with support by the well established ICT and Computing department. The school has worked on a number of projects with colleges and primary schools in computing to support the student's transgression increasing the opportunity for you to gain experience from this ICT & Computing supportive school.

The School is located in the SK14 postcode of Tameside with great railway links and just off the motorway for those who drive. This Mixed 11-16 comprehensive school has a high number of students with Pupil premium EAL and SEN. This wide ranging environment can help develop skills further as the students can be highly engaging.

After the contract period there could be an opportunity to grow within the ICT & Computing department and extend the contract up until the academic year in July. More importantly there is an opportunity to become a permanent member of staff. It is essential for this position to have a QTS with experience teaching IT or Computing. It is also essential to have or be eligible for an enhanced DBS as well as having suitable teaching references available.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
