Following a restructuring decision, a Teacher of Humanities vacancy has emerged at a Eastleigh based school from September 2018. We have been notified that there is a permanent contract available depending on the candidate, with attractive/Flexible pay scales.
Teaching Personnel is working with a secondary school exceeding the national number of students on roll; the ethos for the school promotes dignity, respect and striving for excellence in all avenues and has paid dividends in recent times, with the percentage of students making expected progress in Humanities increasing year on year. Following a recent inspection by Ofsted, the school were demonstrating elements of good practice, with inspectors indicating: "senior leaders and governors have an accurate understanding of school performance and have a concise and well-structured plan for future success which has been expertly relayed to all staff members."
- QTS and experience delivering Religious Education/ History across the age and ability range at KS3 and GCSE
- An ability to deliver engaging lessons that lead to pupils making progress
- Strong classroom management and an ability to build rapport
Ideal candidates for this position as a Humanities teacher will have a previous track record of raising attainment and encouraging pupil progress working as a RE/History teacher. You will also need Qualified Teacher Status to be considered, Experienced RE, History and Geography teachers and Newly Qualified Teachers are welcome to apply. As the school strives for continued improvements and results, the ability to consistently deliver "Good" and "Outstanding" lessons is a must.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
