Teaching Personnel are urgently seeking HLTAs to work in Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire. About the role

Being a HLTA entails holding a diverse range of challenging roles, taking on complex tasks and developing innovative methods to deal with situations as they arise. Your days may involve taking 1:1 learning sessions with pupils, assisting in general class work or alternatively developing learning skills for children in small groups. Intervention can be especially valuable as a HLTA and you may find yourself leading vital sessions helping to raise attainment in English, Maths or Basic Skills.

About you as the ideal candidate

• The best candidate will be already working within an SEN school as a HLTA and have extensive experience working with children who exhibit severe or profound learning difficulties.
• If you have other experience in a mainstream setting, or perhaps outside a traditional teaching setting, this should not be seen as a prohibition to applying, with all experience welcome.
• You must be proficient in English, maths and basic skills, with the ability to assistant struggling pupils where necessary.
• You must have a patient personality, with the mind-set to help pupils and drive success.
• Ideally you will have your own transport and a clean driving license.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
