Teaching Personnel is urgently seeking to meet with HLTAs in the East Riding of Yorkshire and Hull area for roles beginning in September. About the role

The role as a HLTA is an exciting and diverse opportunity to work in a range of day to day responsibilities. Your daily responsibilities could involve leading interventions for individuals or small groups, assisting the classroom teacher in the smooth running of a given lesson and generally working in concert with other members of staff to improve the prospects of pupils with the school. Intervention sessions are especially valuable and important for struggling pupils and you might be leading sessions in English, maths or basic skills learning. We offer a range of differing options regarding full-time, part-time and flexible work patterns and will always do everything we can to accommodate your lifestyle.

About you as the ideal candidate

  • Ideally, you will be currently working within an SEN school or alternatively with SEN children in a mainstream setting. If you have alternative experience that may be relevant this should not be considered a barrier to applying.
  • You will be proficient in teaching English, maths and basic skills as you may be leading interventions or otherwise assisting in these particular topics. Other subject specialisms are welcome, but are not strictly necessary.
  • You must have a patient and caring personality with the drive to help others and assist them in achieving as independent a life as necessary.
  • Ideally you will have your own transport and a clean driving license.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
