History Teacher, September 2019

Full time History Teacher needed in September to uptake a long term role, delivering both KS3 and GCSE History within this Ofsted graded 'Good' school in Oldham.

The Head Teacher has requested CVs of History Teachers to be able to uptake a long term position in September 2019. The incoming History Teacher or Newly Qualified History Teacher will take up full departmental responsibilities of planning and marking along with a full timetable of KS3 and GCSE History lessons. This is a temporary position for the 2019/2020 academic year, however the Head Teacher has stated there is an opportunity of a permanent contract if both the school and History Teacher are happy to continue after the end of the academic year.

  • Full time position for a History Teacher or Newly Qualified History Teacher
  • Paid in line with teaching scale point and responsibilities upheld (£23,720 - £39,406)
  • Working with an Ofsted graded 'Good' school in Oldham
  • Access to excellent training as well as real opportunities for progression

The incoming History Teacher will be joining a very supportive and welcoming Humanities department with a good mix of both Newly Qualified History Teachers and more experienced History Teachers looking to pass on their knowledge. There is the opportunity for further development and the chance for the incoming History Teacher to uphold added responsibility, with this being reflected in their pay. In terms of facilities the school is well equip throughout with a recent investment into the Humanities department resulting in excellent provisions for teaching and learning.
