History Teacher - Rochdale

Are you a qualified History teacher looking for your next role? Do you want to work at an Ofsted graded 'Good' secondary school in Rochdale?

Teaching Personnel are currently working in partnership with one of our client secondary schools in Rochdale who are seeking to appoint a dedicated History teacher from September 2019. The role will be until July in the first instance, with the opportunity to turn into a more progressive role leading into the new academic year.

  • Full time Teacher of History post from September 2019
  • Fixed term contract running until the end of the academic year (July 2020)
  • 'Good' secondary school in Rochdale
  • Teaching History up to KS4 level
  • Pay in line with MPS and UPS (£23,720-£39,406)

Our partner school is located in the Heywood area of Rochdale, and is a smaller than average selective school with fewer than 700 students currently receiving a fantastic education here. With a positive Progress 8 score of 0.31, it is clear that students make good progress. The school has an excellent reputation in the local community due to years of consistently good GCSE results, as well as consistently 'Good' Ofsted inspections where the school's high expectations of behaviour was commented on.

"As a school we have set demanding targets for ourselves. Achieving these targets for all students across the ability range has been the highest priority in recent years and trends of results will vary slightly because of the nature of the intake of students. Each year we celebrate not only pleasing examination results but also the high number of students who move on from us to college and/or employment." Headteacher.

As a History Teacher at our partner school, you will be joining a highly successful and dedicated department which has enjoyed great success in recent years in terms of exam results. Prospective candidates should be highly enthusiastic teachers who are experienced at planning and delivering high quality and engaging History lessons up to GCSE level. Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs) are encouraged to apply, as the school has an excellent NQT provision with fantastic Continuing Professional Development (CPD) sessions throughout the academic year.

If you would like to apply for this post as a History Teacher, please apply via the link below or send an updated CV to Chris Beckenham at Manchester North Secondary directly, alternatively call on the number provided for further information.
