Job description

Teaching Personnel is partnering with a secondary school in Stoke-on-Trent that is seeking a full-time History Teacher to join their team from January. The ideal candidate will be passionate about History and committed to inspiring students to reach their full academic potential.

About the role:

  • Start-date: 5th January
  • Ongoing/long-term role
  • Teaching across KS3 and GCSE curriculum

Your role will involve delivering dynamic, thought-provoking lessons that explore key historical events, cultures, and perspectives. You’ll plan and prepare lessons, assess progress, and create a positive classroom environment where every student can thrive. Beyond the classroom, you’ll collaborate with colleagues, contribute to extra-curricular activities and school trips, and stay up to date with the latest curriculum developments and teaching strategies. Most importantly, you’ll spark curiosity and help students understand how history shapes the world today.

What we’re looking for:

  • QTS with strong background in History
  • Experience teaching across KS3 and GCSE curriculum
  • Strong knowledge of the curriculum and current teaching techniques
  • Ability to manage challenging behaviour
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with both students and staff

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
