History Teacher (Kettering)

A full time position teaching History to key stage 3 and 4 has recently become available at a large comprehensive academy in Kettering Northamptonshire. The academy is looking for a passionate and confident teacher of History to support the academies ethos of improving achievement for all students. The academies new values of 'Excellence, Resilience and Aspiration' believe that this will harness the skills and attributes that we want to develop in our young people. The ideal candidate should be:

  • Be passionate about History with extensive knowledge
  • Be dedicated to planning and delivering lessons in an innovate and engaging way
  • Achieve results and drive progress among students and within the department
  • Show excellent communication skills in the classroom
  • Have outstanding organisation skills needed to plan, prepare and execute diverse lessons
  • Bring a sense of creativity to the role and also match the school's forward thinking ethos
  • Ensure that the students have an enjoyable learning experience

All candidates must provide two references as well as a Current Child Workforce DBS registered with the DBS Update Service. Teaching personnel will also provide ongoing support and personalised guidance to the candidates throughout.
