Teacher of History
Join a vibrant secondary academy in Middlesbrough seeking to appoint a teacher of History on a full-time basis for one academic year from September 2021.
The successful teacher will be an enthusiastic and committed teacher with strong subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4. They will have excellent behaviour management and the ability to form strong professional relationships with students and staff members.
We are looking for a committed History teacher who will ensure the highest levels of teaching and learning and an enthusiasm for raising student attainment.
Responsibilities of this post:
- To plan, prepare and deliver well structured and engaging History lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- To manage classroom behaviour in line with the schools behaviour policy.
- Maintain up to date subject knowledge of the National Curriculum.
- To motivate, support and challenge students to ensure that they have good attitudes to learning.
Applicants to this position must have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be a Newly Qualified Teacher of History. Additionally, recent experience teaching KS3 and KS4 History is essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
