Teacher of Humanities – Long term cover – Wigan – January 2018

  • Long term contract with a possiblity of an extension
  • Ofsted graded 'GOOD' school
  • Paid to UPS scale

A large secondary school in the central area of Wigan have an upcoming requirement within their Humanities faculty for a teacher to cover from January 2018 until the end of the academic year. There is also the possibility of an extension to this and a fixed term contract after the initial cover.

Overview of the role;

- Full departmental responsibilities of planning and marking.

- High achieving department where pupils achieve grades above the national average.

- A school situated centrally which offers excellent access to the surrounding areas e.g. Chorley, Wrightington etc

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
