Are you a Teacher of Humanities?

Are you available ASAP?

Does the sound of a full-time, possibly permanent role appeal to you?

If so, I have a school in the Chorley area which is an Ofsted judged 'good' school were students make clear progress, seeking a Teacher of Humanities ASAP due to an un-planned absence in the department. It is likely this role will go permanent for the ideal candidate on a full-time basis.

The successful candidate will predominately be teaching KS3/4 History with some aspects of Geography and RE. The school will welcome any specialist Humanities Teacher for this role, as they are urgently seeking someone to start as soon as possible.

Rate of pay is negotiable dependant on experience and if successful you will work an initial 20 weeks (exc. holidays) on a supply basis through Teaching Personnel before going on a permanent contract with the school.

The ideal candidate MUST have:

- Valid UK PGCE with QTS

- Experience teaching KS3/4 History

- Humanities degree (desirable but not essential)

- Full-time availability

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
