INTRODUCTION
The History Department at this Grammar School is a highly active part of the School community and has a busy extra-curricular programme. The History Department is in a strong position, with 100-120 (the majority of a Year group) students opting for GCSE History each year, as well as two A Level classes in both Years 12 and 13. The Department is assisted by a number of Sixth Form Subject Prefects who run an Annual Fair Trade Café, and contribute to a fortnightly Current Affairs Club and a growing mentoring programme.
CURRICULUM
All pupils have four 50-minute History lessons per fortnight in the Lower School and follow a tailored curriculum which lays the foundations for GCSE with an emphasis on current affairs. We follow the AQA syllabus at GCSE and EdExcel at A Level.
THE ROLE
The role is due to begin immediately and will be up until the end of the academic year. This is a full time position till July. If you are an enthusiastic and strong teacher we want to hear from you!
