HISTORY TEACHER – CARDIFF

History Teacher needed for a medium sized school located on the outskirts of Cardiff.

Start Date: Feb 2024

Position: Long Term Cover

Pay Rates: Paid to Teacher pay scale  

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a fully qualified History teacher in a large Secondary School on a full-time basis.

Working in partnership with Teaching Personnel our client is currently searching for a History teacher with the drive and passion for raising student attainment while engaging learner of all levels.

The School and Position

  • Fixed term contract starting Feb 2024 2022 until Christmas in the first instance
  • Position has the possibility of running until the end of the next academic year
  • History teacher for secondary school pupils aged between 11-19
  • Large school with approx.1100 pupils
  • Approx.15 mins away from Cardiff City Centre

The successful History teacher and the role:

  • Qualified teachers including NQT’s to apply
  • Have experience of teaching History to KS3 and GCSE levels.
  • Show the capabilities to teach mixed abilities and dealing with challenging behaviour
  • Registered with the Education Workforce Council
  • The suitable candidate will have strong subject knowledge as this role does require detailed awareness of the national curriculum.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
