History Teacher

History Teacher required for a rapidly improving secondary school in the Wigan LEA.

  • Full-time History Teaching position with
  • The successful applicant is required to start by Easter 2019
  • Competitive pay in line with MPS/UPS pay scale - £23,720 - £39,406
  • Teachers of all experience levels encouraged to apply
  • Permanent contract progression available from September 2019.

This History teaching position that is being advertised on behalf of our key client secondary school is being offered on a temporary basis for the remainder of the academic year in the first instance. However due to the nature of the vacancy there will be an opportunity to earn a permanent contract from September 2019, subject to performance over the initial temporary period.

The schools Head of Humanities wishes to hold interviews in the coming weeks in order to successfully appoint for this position ahead of the schools Easter holidays.

The school aim to appoint a passionate and dedicated History teacher that will be able to teach well planned and engaging lessons to their students on a regular basis. It will be crucial in support of further employment that the incoming History teacher will be able to stretch the learning of their pupils in order to achieve excellent results at GCSE level.

  • Lead by newly appointed Senior Leaders looking to continue in recent improvements of the school
