Job description

A school in Dorset are looking for an History teacher to start full time from October 2018. This School provides BTECS, GCSE and NVQ course to its students within a wide range of subjects. The school offers an exciting, positive learning environment to wide range of students from a range of different backgrounds. The school offers credible pathways to employment, benefiting both young and adult learners, as well as local businesses and the wider community. The college aims to develop confidence and self-esteem, and gain the skills, qualities and qualifications for the future.

The college is now looking to employ an History teacher to join their friendly academic team. This role will be starting from October 2018. The role will require you to teach History up to GCSE level.

A successful applicant will have a QTS status or a relevant PCGE, educated to a degree level in your specialist subject. Experience within working within a sixth form school is desirable, as well as experience in teaching History at a GCSE level. Any additional qualifications will be highly desirable.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
