Large over subscribed, Bolton based Secondary school are seeking a passionate History Teacher on a full time basis from September 2019.

This highly successful faith school based in the heart of Bolton are working in collaboration with Teaching personnel to employ a passionate History Teacher; dedicated in the promotion of outstanding teaching and learning.   • Full time History Teacher required from September 2019, initially on a temporary supply basis with potential to progress.
  • Must hold QTS alongside relevant degree level qualification within History.
  • Applications are welcome from both experienced and newly qualified teachers.
  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS £23, 720 - £39, 406.

This Ofsted graded 'Outstanding' Secondary school has recently moved into state of the art facilities and has accesses to a range of modern resources. The Humanities faculty has seen a complete refurbishment with brand new classrooms, resources and a restructure amongst the staff team.

History has proven to be a very popular subject area and has since created an increased demand for the subject particularly at GCSE and so the incoming History Teacher will be required to deliver innovative lessons which promote a continued passion and enthusiasm for the role.

The responsibilities for the incoming History Teacher will be as follows;

Responsibilities for the incoming History Teacher will include;

  • Plan, prepare and mark classwork, reporting back to Senior Leadership within the faculty and taking appropriate action for assessment and evaluation where applicable.
  • Deliver dynamic History lessons ranging to meet the needs of pupils at a range of learning abilities and ages.
  • Manage behaviour in accordance to behaviour management policies, aimed at the engagement of pupils across the board.
  • Uphold school ethos and values.
