Are you a teacher of History wishing to gain a new post for the remainder of this academic year?
Due to a restructure within the Humanities department, a position has become available within the History faculty at our partner Secondary school. This position will be given on a full time, temporary basis after the half term break; with the opportunity to obtain a fixed term contract from September 2017.
The school is a mixed comprehensive school for pupils aged 11-16 and is located between Royton and Diggle in Oldham. Due to the rural surroundings, the school is easier to access via A Road (A670) that passes through Uppermill.
- Full time position teaching KS3 and KS4 History
- Pay in line with teaching scale point (£22,467 - £38,250 per annum)
- Collaborative planning within the department
- Ofsted graded ‘Good’ with ‘Outstanding’ features, 2015
- Accessible from Rochdale, Oldham, Tameside and Huddersfield.
With a current Progress 8 Score of +0.9, the school have been praised for continually achieving high grades across all subjects. The site is set on large grounds and the classrooms are spacious with state of the art facilities available. The incoming History teacher will have previous experience of differentiating lessons to meet the needs of students within their class to ensure targets can be achieved.
