Job description

We are looking for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and forward-thinking secondary campus in the Cranborne countryside.

Working hours are 8.30am to 3.30pm. This is a full-time position with an immediate start.


Your Role

  • Lead and support learning within the classroom, working alongside experienced teachers

  • Deliver small-group interventions and structured activities

  • Build positive relationships and motivate students to reach their goals

  • Support classroom management and contribute to a calm, encouraging learning environment

  • Help create a space where every young person feels safe, supported, and understood


What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum of 6 months' childcare experience, ideally supporting students with additional needs

  • Someone confident leading groups and stepping in to cover lessons when needed

  • A patient, adaptable, and resilient individual with a passion for helping young people succeed

  • Due to the school’s rural location, you must be able to drive and have access to a vehicle

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
