Hearing Impairment specialist needed for Independent setting

Job description

I am working in partnership with an Executive Head to recruit a Teaching Assistant with experience of working with Hearing Impaired children. The ideal candidate will already have some experience, or have BSL qualfications. The school is a local setting with small class sizes and strong beliefs towards teaching. The ideal candidate will be working one to one with a hearing impaired student, supporting them in their studies. This is due to start after the Easter break, but could be earlier for the right candidate. Permanent contracts are available.

The candidate will:

  • have experience of working with hearing impaired pupils
  • be passionate about teaching and learning
  • be highly motivated by children's success

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
