Head of Physical Education

Teaching Personnel are working with a Secondary School which is a very heavily over-subscribed 11-18 Comprehensive Academy School with 1700 students on roll (including the Sixth Form) located in Buckinghamshire. It has been graded an "Good" school on two successive occasions and is a dynamic, high-achieving secondary school where students are polite, motivated to succeed and enjoy their education.

The Schools' Physical Education department is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, well-qualified and highly committed Head of Physical Education to join a strong, dynamic and well-resourced Faculty. The Teacher will be joining a friendly, fun loving department and have a love of teaching, a willingness to trial new ideas and be a team player who puts the good of the students at the heart of all that they do. The candidate will be passionate about ensuring every student meets their potential. The ability to teach a second subject would be an advantage.

The Physical Education Faculty at offers both GCSE PE and technical qualifications in Sport in KS4, and AS and A2 PE and BTEC Sport at KS5. Students also have the opportunity to take part in the Young Apprentice programme, Sports Leaders UK awards and coaching qualifications.

The School has excellent facilities including a Sports Hall, two Dance Studios, Health & Fitness Suite, Astroturf, Tennis and Netball Courts and extensive playing fields, plus dedicated PE/ICT Classrooms and plans for a new Leisure Centre on-site are being finalised.
