Head of English – Sturminster
Full-Time | Start Date: January 2026
A well-regarded secondary school in Sturminster is looking for a passionate and experienced Head of English to lead their department and support students for whom English is an additional language. This full-time role is available from January 2026.
Key responsibilities:

Provide leadership and direction for the English department, promoting high-quality teaching and learning across all year groups.

Develop and implement strategies to support students in accessing the curriculum and achieving their potential.

Mentor and guide staff in inclusive teaching approaches.

Track and evaluate student progress, adapting programmes to meet individual needs.

Collaborate effectively with parents, external partners, and the wider school community to ensure robust support for students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
