Head of English – Sturminster

Full-Time | Start Date: January 2026

A well-regarded secondary school in Sturminster is looking for a passionate and experienced Head of English to lead their department and support students for whom English is an additional language. This full-time role is available from January 2026.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and direction for the English department, promoting high-quality teaching and learning across all year groups.

• Develop and implement strategies to support students in accessing the curriculum and achieving their potential.

• Mentor and guide staff in inclusive teaching approaches.

• Track and evaluate student progress, adapting programmes to meet individual needs.

• Collaborate effectively with parents, external partners, and the wider school community to ensure robust support for students.
