Role: Head of Curriculum & Achievement
Location: Stoke-on-Trent (SEMH Specialist School)
Salary: £50,000 – £60,000
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Start: ASAP / Negotiable

Lead, inspire, and drive academic excellence in a specialist SEMH school.

An SEMH school in Stoke is seeking an experienced, confident, and strategic leader to join their Senior Leadership Team as Head of Curriculum & Achievement. This is a key role within the school’s ongoing development and will suit a strong curriculum lead who can raise standards and support staff across KS2–KS3.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead curriculum design, development, and implementation

  • Drive whole-school academic progress and achievement

  • Line-manage teachers and support quality of teaching & learning

  • Analyse data to inform school improvement priorities

  • Support a nurturing, consistent approach suited to SEMH learners

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven curriculum leadership experience

  • Strong understanding of teaching & learning

  • Ability to inspire, challenge, and support staff

  • Experience in specialist or SEMH settings is desirable, not essential

  • High expectations and a commitment to positive outcomes
