Job description

I work with several specialist units that cater for pupils with challenging behaviour and learning difficulties with immediate work opportunities for teaching assistants in Plymouth. I am looking for an enthusiastic individual with a keen interest in supporting young learners in class.

You will be responsible for assisting the class teacher and providing one-to-one/group support to students of primary or secondary level (dependent on experience and age group preference).

The ideal applicant will have prior experience working in the classroom and have the ability to support children and teenagers with SEN; in particular those with Autism, Asperger's, Social Emotional & Mental Health or behavioural issues.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
