An "Outstanding secondary school" in the Sheffield area seek to hire a Graduate teaching assistant ASAP on a full time basis. Due to staffing restructure and the Head teachers desire to provide extra support to teachers and students, this full time position has become available for a dedicated and hard working graduate as a teaching assistant.

Whether you are seeking a career in education as a TA or you are an aspiring teacher, this could be an excellent opportunity for you. Your role will be to provide lesson support to class teachers and work closely with students in small groups and on an individual 1:1 basis. You will also be required to cover classes in the absence of teachers (full support provided), delivering pre-set work and ensuring a smooth lesson goes ahead, implementing the behaviour and disciplinary procedure if necessary. The school is widely regarded, most recently graded as outstanding during an Ofsted inspection. To be successful for this post you will need to be available on a full time basis and able to commute to Sheffield, the school has great transport links from the city Centre.
