Graduate Youth Work - Train to Teach

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit graduates in core subjects and STEM to work with our partner school in Fleet, with the intention of training to teach alongside the school as part of their SCITT programme.

WE are looking for Quick thinking, engaging and independent graduates who are interested in working with children in order to train to become a teacher to work in our partner school. Teaching Personnel works in conjunction with multiple large LEA and Academy schools in the area providing quality experienced and inexperienced staff to boost academic attainment in secondary schooling throughout the area.

We are currently working with a sizeable school in the Fleet area to place a graduate into their school as a cover supervisor attached to a subject they are familiar with based on university degree. Your responsibilities will include delivering the lesson plan produced by the normal classroom teacher, promoting school ethos, building relationships with staff pupils and parents, working hard and being trustworthy.

Cover Supervisor role includes the following:

  • Working to the lesson plan provided
  • Using IT in your lessons to promote learning
  • Managing behaviour in lessons to keep all pupils progressing and prevent distractions
  • Using your own knowledge to provide stretch lesson objectives
  • Working in accordance with each pupils academic and social needs

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
