Job description

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a secondary school in Basingstoke who have expressed an interest in Graduates who are looking to build experience prior to enrolling onto a PGCE. This school is offering regular paid youth work on a full time basis for a graduate to learn how to develop their subject knowledge into a basis to begin to teach. Most experience prior to a PGCE is voluntary where as through this route with Teaching Personnel you could earn between £325 and £400

The school have expressed an interest in STEM, English and Humanities and IT backgrounds as areas where they would be interested in interviewing candidates who are looking into teaching as a future career but who do not currently have the knowledge or experience required to make this a reality.

By enrolling on this programme you will be able to build a portfolio required to join a PGCE for the September 2019 start. This paid experience will strengthen your knowledge and skills and place you ahead of those who do not have the experience as well as ensure you are suited for the role.

The correct candidates will be:

  • A graduate of STEM, English, Humanities or IT
  • Confident and self assured as you will be leading groups of 11-16 year olds
  • Reliable and dependable
  • Interested in a future career in teaching
