Graduate Teaching Internship

Are you a graduate considering a career in teaching? 

Would you like paid work experience in schools to help you decide if becoming a teacher is right for you? 

Teaching Personnel, is offering an exciting opportunity for graduates to work in schools and on a year long placement exploring whether teaching is a potential career path.

Successful graduates will be given the opportunity to work as a Teaching Assistant for one academic year to gain an insight into the world of teaching.

Once introduced to a local secondary school, graduates can expect to be involved in the following:

  • Helping to raise attainment through one-to-one and small group interventions in your subject specialism.
  • Offering in class subject specialist support and general classroom assistance.
  • Assisting teachers with lesson planning and preparation.
  • Supervising whole classes in the short-term absence of teachers.

To apply for this position applicants must be educated to degree level and have relevant experience supporting or working with young people in an educational setting.

We also welcome application from graduates who have alternative relevant experience such as peer mentoring or a genuine desire to pursue a career in teaching or education support.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
