Graduate Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting for a recent maths graduate to join one of our client schools in Manchester as a Teaching Assistant.

In order to be cleared to work within this school, you will be required to undergo a fully enhanced child workforce DBS check. You will also be required to complete a short, online safeguarding course which will ensure that you are aware of how to deal with situations which may present themselves within school. You will also be required to provide a minimum of two employment-based references, we will need to cover the last two years of your working history.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for:

• You will work in small groups of pupils or on a one-to-one basis to ensure that the pupils are well supported throughout school.
• You should use your own knowledge of the subject to answer any questions that the pupils may have regarding the lessons.
• If you are concerned about the performance of any of the pupils, you must report this to the pupils to ensure that you are in the best position to create a plan to support them.
