Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting Graduates who are looking to pursue a career in education or teaching in the future. We provide opportunities for Graduates to gain school based experience as Teaching Assistants, Learning mentors, behavioural buddies and intervention tutors.

Graduate teaching assistants will be provided with the opportunity to work with students on a 1:1 and small group basis supporting those who have educational health plans and moderate learning difficulties. We receive requests for Teaching Assistants to support students who have moderate learning difficulties in the areas of social emotional mental health, autism, dyslexia, ADHA and behaviour.

We currently support secondary schools across the areas of Manchester, Tameside, Stockport, Trafford and Cheshire East. We have opportunities that are both full time and part time on a flexible basis with some of the temporary long term posts leading to permanent school based contracts. Teaching Personnel offer a number of training and development courses helping you to boost your CV and portfolio.

Key features of the role of a graduate Teaching Assistant;

  • Full time and part time positions in secondary schools throughout Greater Manchester
  • Daily rates of pay paid on a weekly basis £375-£350 per week
  • Regular CPD and training courses
  • Round the clock support form a team of knowledgably consultants

You will need to demonstrate a clear passion for working with young people, a flexible attitude that will meet the demands of the post, empathetic nature and willingness to learn from more experienced staff within special educational needs team at school.

You will need to provide educational or work based references, eligibility for a fully enhanced DBS certificate to be eligible for the role of a graduate teaching assistant.To apply please follow the link below and send a full up to date CV via the link below.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
