Are you a Social Science student or graduate looking for part-time work in Southgate?

Do you want to develop your practical experience and understanding of supporting children with special needs?

If so, we want to hear from YOU!

I am currently working with a primary special needs school in Southgate who are looking for ambitious graduates to support students with autism. Applicants would need to be available from 8:30 to 3:30pm for a minimum of three days during Monday to Friday, term time only.

The special needs school was recently rated Good by Ofsted and they provide a holistic and personalised learning approach for children aged 2-11 with autism, learning difficulties and communication disorders.

What you will do daily:

  • 1:1 or group support with daily classroom activities
  • Prioritising the safety and well-being of each child across the school (Safeguarding)
  • Collaborating with therapists, teachers and senior leadership in order to provide the most effective support
  • What you will need:
  • Degree in Social Sciences (Psychology, Sociology, Criminology and Childhood studies)
  • Commitment to a minimum of three days a week from 8.30 - 3.30pm Monday to Friday
  • Experience working with learning difficulties and autism is ideal but not essential
  • Genuine interest in furthering your understanding and experience with special needs
