Job description

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit graduates looking to get into the education sector to work as a specialist teaching assistant at a client school based in Cardiff. The school has a variety of pupils with special educational needs. You will be required to support them on a daily bases helping pupils with their everyday routine. The pupils may be diagnosed with autism or co-existing conditions including ADHD, learning difficulties, anxiety, Tourette's syndrome, epilepsy and or struggle with behaviour. Candidates will be required to work within regular school hours of 8:30-3:30, staying behind to help clean the classroom at the end of the day may also be required of you. As part of the pupil's routines you will be assisting within small groups at lunch time making sure pupils have their food and help with any needs they may require. You will be asked to work within either small groups or on a one to one basis. Successful candidates will be enthusiastic, patient and have strong behaviour management skills.

  • Be Manual Handling trained (desirable)

  • Have a passion for helping others

We offer a competitive rate of pay ranging from £54.00-£60.00 a day, we do not charge admin fees for interviews and have other additional benefits such as pension.
