Are you a recent Graduate having graduated in the past year or two?
Are you looking to find work in the education sector and have any relevant, transferable skills which you will be able to utilise supporting students in a secondary school setting?
Are you available in the Preston area of the North West?
- Graduate scheme: full time graduate support role in a supportive secondary school based in the Preston area.
- Pay will range between GBP1140 and GBP1250 per month dependent upon experience.
- Duration: January 2020 – July 2020 2019/2020 in the first instance.
- Opportunity to progress on to a school based contract following a term through Teaching Personnel.
- Support in a secondary school situated in the Preston area.
A reputable, co-educational secondary school situated in Preston is looking to recruit a recent graduate to fulfil the role of a Graduate Teaching Assistant starting with them in January 2020 on Monday 6th.
The successful Graduate Teaching Assistant is required to support as a general class teaching assistant working with students who are below the grade that they should be. Graduates of any subject specialism are encouraged to apply and any with any relevant experience of working with young people are highly encouraged to apply for immediate consideration. The role will also entail supporting students in a variety of settings including small groups, one to one working on providing them with tuition and as a general class assistant.
This role is ideal for a:
- Graduate with any experience tutoring or mentoring students/colleagues
- Previous Youth Worker supporting vulnerable young people
- Graduate with experience assisting in a secondary school
- Graduate with any experience supporting a young person with SEN
- Any experience working with students exhibiting challenging behaviour is beneficial
The school is specifically looking for a confident and adaptable graduate who is seeking a role within the education sector supporting at a vibrant and supportive secondary school. Any former experience is highly desirable for this position. There are students of mixed abilities and background who attend this school and so any experience of engaging with a variety of young people in a previous setting will be beneficial.
This school is situated in the North of Preston, with links to the M6 and M65 motorway networks. The school is very easy to get to with an on site car park and boasts fantastic facilities.
