Are you a recent graduate or graduating this Summer? Are you interested in a career in the education sector? We have vacancies for you!

Prior school or education based experience isn't essential; the school are simply looking for graduates with an interest in working within education. The ideal degree subject areas include Psychology, SEN, Inclusion, Sociology, Counselling and Youth Work. The school has various sites across Lincolnshire and are looking for graduates in Lincoln and Amber Hill.

The school will provide training and you will be required to work 1:1 or in small groups with KS3 and KS4 pupils. These students are high achieving, however they suffer from mental health conditions such as eating disorders, anxiety, depression, psychosis, schizophrenia and instances of self-harm. Additionally, there may be students on role due to other medical conditions such as oncology patients. The ideal person will need to be empathetic but not sympathetic.

This role will start on a temporary contract with a view to go permanent for the right candidate.

The successful candidate will therefore have to have:

  • University degree (2:2 or higher)
  • 2-3 A levels (A-C) or equivalent
  • 5 GSCEs (A*-C) or equivalent
  • Valid driving licence with own vehicle
  • Passion to support SEN students and the ambition to progress within the education sector

You will need to show:

  • Commitment to working with pupils with SEN and mental health disorders
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Initiative and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to manage confrontation and challenging behaviour
  • Observant and responsive approach
  • Patience, understanding and empathy with pupils and parents

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
