Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a Graduate Teaching Assistant for our partnered secondary school in Trafford. As a teaching assistant you will be supporting students aged 11-16 with their core subjects of Maths, English and Science on a full time basis. If you are a recent graduate from any of the three core subjects, then this would be advantageous. However if you are a graduate that has shown an academic proficiency with any of the three core subjects at a previous level, then the school will also consider you. The Teaching Assistant role commences from February Half Term until the end of the academic year with trial days and interviews to be taken place throughout January.

The Trafford based secondary school has provided an exciting learning environment for their students, with Ofsted recently grading the school as GOOD. As a graduate teaching assistant you will work closely with all three departments of the core subjects. The supportive school teachers have established themselves to provide a platform for previous Graduate Teaching Assistants to move on to the next level of their professional teaching career. If you are an enthusiastic graduate that wants to progress to a PGCE/ITT or wants to improve their teaching skill and confidence, then this Trafford based secondary school is ideal for you.

As a graduate teaching assistant you will be required to support class teachers in their lesson to assist students in small groups and on a one to one basis. Your timetable will also consist of supporting students with their Maths, English and Science studies for their GCSE's on an irregular basis. Your main duties will be supporting students in Key Stage 3 helping them develop their progress 8 scores throughout your time of employment. There may also be times where you have to support SEN students, so if you have experience in this field it would desirable. But the school will also provide you with CPD opportunities to develop your skills as well as other areas of student support and awareness.
