Graduate Teaching Assistant

An exciting opportunity for a recent graduate looking to support secondary school students with their studies.

Teaching Personnel are currently working alongside one of our partner schools in Oldham who would like a motivated and inspirational graduate to join them from September 2020 to support several identified students with their studies both in and outside of lessons. This is a good opportunity to gain valuable experience of working within a successful and supportive secondary school.

Our partner secondary school is based in the Oldham area of North Manchester and has an intake of over 1300 students currently enrolled, whilst being consistently oversubscribed. As an Ofsted rated ‘Good’ secondary school it has a fantastic reputation within the local community.

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant at our partner school, successful candidates will be running 1:1 and small group tuition sessions to students that have been identified as falling behind in their studies and needing extra support, as well as those students that are on the key grade borderlines such as Grades 4/5 and Grades 6/7 in an attempt to stretch and challenge them as much as possible.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
