A co-educational secondary school in Warrington is seeking to appoint a confident and approachable graduate to support in their school. The successful graduate will be fulfilling the role of a Teaching Assistant supporting and assisting within the classroom working with students in a variety of subjects. There is an open vacancy within the school’s support department for a teaching assistant, therefore presenting a fantastic opportunity for a graduate to work at this supportive secondary school.

This role is ideal for a graduate who is considering undertaking a PGCE in the future or for graduates who want more experience within a school setting. The successful graduate will have the opportunity to gain invaluable experience working with teachers and support staff alike, collaborating and working with them to get the best out of all students being supported. The successful graduate is required to start with the school on Monday 24th February ideally with potential for them to start on Monday 20th April depending upon availability.

The school being located in the Warrington area is very easily accessible for any graduate living in Widnes, Runcorn, St Helens, Lymm or Warrington itself. There are plenty of local buses which service the school regularly with the central train station being within walking distance from the school. The support team and entire senior leadership team are well known for being supportive with the school regularly supporting graduates looking for a future role as a teacher.

As the successful graduate, you will be working in a support capacity, working with pupils in a full class setting as well as on a 1:1 basis or in small group settings. This could be in the form of intervention or providing support to students who require it the most. This role will allow the successful graduate to gain the necessary experience to support a future PGCE application or allow them to be involved and gain understanding of the education sector.
